It never fails. There always has to be something. I know many of you do not like to have a variety of news sources before forming your opinions on certain matters but for this given case, it is important. Now, when I heard John Kerry made a joke, naturally I just hit myself in the head. I see the clip and just wonder why. Throughout the last two days, the headline is the only thing ever mentioned on any of the news programs so I do a little research. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a full transcript (surprise, surprise) of what was said but of the videos I have seen, this was obviously a joke directed towards the intelligence of the president. He was speaking to a college aged liberal crowd and before the comment had been taking jabs at Bush the entire time.

"I was in the state of Texas, as you know the president used to live there, now he lives in the state of denial; the state of deception"
"I am happy to be here, we are here to talk about education, education is important if you make the most of it. If you study hard, make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If not, you can get stuck in Iraq"

Now, Kerry is not a comedian. His delivery and monotone voice make it very difficult for an audience to tell if he is joking or not. But in context, the point of the comment is obvious. He was making fun of the intelligence of the President the entire speech and ended by saying an education can prevent you from being in his situation. (i.e. a bumbling war-time president without an exit startegy) What has happened is a fantastic example of the propaganda machine that has become this nations media. So in turn, I would like to offer some statements that I need an immediate apology from Bush right now.

Bush (atually the context of this one makes it funny, the question was; What was your best moment in office? But I want an apology for putting a fishing hole in the oval office, those carpets cost tax payer dollars)

oh, and my favorite by Dick Cheney
"f**k off" to a reporter asking about his ties to Halliburton.

and I would also like to offer some news stories that may have slipped through the cracks.

In closing, the Bush adminstration should be the last one demanding apologies on misinterpreted words. Hide from your televisions before you make your votes. Don't even focus on the candidates. Find out what issues matter to you and do your research. That is all.
